Changes for the Better?

I thought it might be interesting if I just add a few viewpoints of what should be changed to make the country a better place. I've outlined some of my platform which is rather obscure :P

1) Seperation of State and Religion
The state should be seperated from religion. In other words the country should be tolerant of all religions operating in the country.

2) Taxing and Audit of Religious Institutes
In many countries, religious activities is exempted for tax. However I do propose there are many religious activities that do not benefit the society in which I do feel that it is not fair for all religious activities to be untaxed. I do propose that religious establishment must be taxed and audit properly like other organizations.

3) Prevent Speculative Money Making from Stocks
I've noticed alot of people invest in stocks like they invest in gambling - borrowing heavily to invest in stocks in hope of gaining. Now I do want to propose that speculative money making from stock markets should stop, and the measure I think would be great is to implement 2 new policies. The first is that cash must be used directly in buying of stocks - no credit limit allowed. The second point I do want to implement is to disallow the selling of a stock after its bought for a period of time - e.g. 6 months or more to prevent speculative stock trading. I feel that speculative business such as stocks and trading of commodity of land are non-productive industry that generate income without any real value - which isn't beneficial to the general good of the country.

4) Transfer fund from Social Security into Educational/Vocational Programs
Instead of investing heavily on social security, I do think the better investment for the government is to pour money into educational systems. That means I feel that its enough reason to put more funding from social security into educational programs. In other words I believe in the saying - Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; give a man a fishing rod, you feed him for a lifetime.

5) Allow Gay Marriage as Long as they adopt an Orphan
I don't care about the religious argument about the morality of Gay Marriages, but I do observe that there are lots of orphans in our countries. I think there is a better way to utilize both of this, by allowing gay marriage as long as they adopt an orphan. This way we could get rid of two trouble groups in one shot ;)

6) License Required for Marriage
Since alot of argument has been raised about the validity of abortion/birth control as a source of population management, I just thought why not take a different approach and require taking a parent license before marriage or child bearing? Since alot of parents aren't prepared for parenthood, this could be a wakeup call for them to know that its not just simple screwing around that would be enough. A way to persuade peeps to do this is to allow tax benefits for parents with license, whereas with holding benefits from parents who do not have license.

What do you peeps think about these ideas?

1- strongly agree! governments that are run by the church are scary- they believe anything they do is correct as it is the word of god.
2- you should see how some religious organization in america make their money- they beg for it on television! there have been famous scandals in the past where popular television ministers wound up having hidden mistresses or making lots and lots of money and spending it on themselves
3- difficult to control, i think. lots of people do treat the stock market like gambling- and many times it's impossible to know if one can make money. for example even if one knows that a company's performance will exceed expectations, macroeconomic circumstances could mean the stock price will go down regardless. the only advantage over gambling is that if one plays intelligently and conservatively, over time one's wealth with increase. it's the opposite for gambling- the more one plays the more one loses.
4- strongly agree. education really is the key to long-term development of an economy. the only problem is that investment today could take 10 years or more to pay dividends... so politicians like to focus more on short-term policies.
5- not so sure about this one as who knows how good parents they would be.
6- that's a good idea... force people to go through some education before having kids or getting married.

1) umm agree on that ..
2) yup really agree on that ...

3) that's the hedge funds and retirment funds, etc. that has the limit of time to selling. but stock is very difficult to control.

but still agree that many ppl are gambling on stocks .. but hard to control on the load coz u always can get other loan and throw on the investments if ppl really want to do it ...

there is some govt. body watching over the speculative but i don't know how effective are they ... espcially for the group of u know who (sounds like harry potter??)

4) well i think we still need both on social security and education .. but govt. can raise money some where to pay for both..

5) really like that idea .. ;)

6)good idea but i don't know how would that put in practice ..

sex education should be taught since a very young child. but many thai adults are not keen to talk to children about sex issues... they recon that it's against the culture only say that women should not see man .. not allow to touch and that's it .. so how the children will understand about sex ??
